Gee, THANKS, Lord!
Here are the details I promised about the recovery of DH's missing cell phone.
(If you have just stumbled on to this site, go to http://www.alliechilling.blogspot.com/ June 3rd entry "Plett Pleasure and Phone Fable" to read the background story).
I pick up from the time DH phoned me in a state from the middle of African nowhere about the theft from his car of his indispensible (LOTS of biz info on it) phone . . . .
As soon as I put the phone down, I prayed for his safe passage home - and then - almost as an afterthought
(you know the kind of prayers I mean? - sort of "I don't know how You are going to do this Lord, but I'm just going to ask anyway")
I prayed:
" . . . . . and Lord, if it be possible, please will You organize the return of his phone?"
I went downstairs about 10 mins later to where my friends were sitting chatting and told them DH's predicament, without telling them I had prayed about it.
As soon as they heard, they held hands and prayed for his safe return: and then - to my amusement, out came the almost identical words that I had used:
". . . . and Lord, we can't even imagine how this could happen but if You could organize the return of his phone, that would be great."
We even giggled about it together when I told them of my twin-prayer. . . .
So you can imagine how we all were pretty much doing the Highland fling with excitement and gratitude when we heard only minutes later of the recovery of the stolen item.
Don't you LOVE it when the Lord does things like that?!
Just shows us again how intimately involved he is with every aspect of our lives.
So kind!
