I was thinking -
Even if God had not sent Jesus for us -
He would still be amazing
He would still make us breathless with wonder at who He is
and what He has done.
I mean
Have you ever looked - really looked - at a wave; a leaf; a baby?
Have you wondered
How whales know where to migrate for breeding?
How birds fly thousands of miles to breeding grounds they have never seen
And how do they know how to weave their nests?
Perfectly
The same as their parent birds, but without instruction?
Have you ever
Had an aching lump in your throat just because nature is so beautiful
You can hardly bear it?
It is no accident that nature sings of the beauty of the One who made it.
He formed it to point us to Him.
But He did send Jesus
The most beautiful of all
All of nature pales by comparison
And we stand stunned by such undeserved kindness.
