Invitation

A number of my friends had told me of God giving them a personal word for this year
I mean one single word.
The idea appealed to me butI wondered how I would know, if a single word came to me, that it was from Him.
I hated the idea that I might unwittingly make up my own word and didn't know how to not do that.

But I decided I would ask Him anyway
For a word for me for now.
Then pretty much forgot that I'd asked Him
Not long after that, I was writing in my journal
As I wrote, I used the word 'invitation'
And couldn't get past the word.
Do you know what I mean?

Its as though you just cannot move away from it; your eyes will not let go of it.
It is like a magnet for your attention
I was suddenly made aware that 'invitation' was my word from Him
in the unmistakeable way He has of doing that.

It was like getting a gift.
From heaven.

I am only starting to unwrap my gift.
This is the first layer of beautiful wrapping:
'Vita' means 'life'
"In vita tion"
It sounds as though He is personally beckoning me into LIFE; big, wide, beautiful LIFE, in a new way.

That would be enough on its own but I know there is much more coming and I will share with you as it becomes known
