Look Up

In the light of world events, and more especially, in this land (South Africa), it is good to remember that, for Christ-followers,
this is not "it" for us.

That Jesus came to tell us about another reality that we could not have known without Him.
In fact, we still cannot know it without Him.

There is more going on than meets the eye
There are these cosmic plans and happenings that give meaning to all that is going on here.

The innate longing we have for a justice and peace will not be satisfied
with this world system
It is flawed at its core.

But He told of the way His Father does things
And holds out the invitation to join in with that.

I don't know about you, but I sometimes forget that when things go
really pear-shaped here
And have to forcefully bring back my thinking . . .

But clarity and hope and zest for life return when the right point of departure is regained.

I will be away for a week, basking in a great gift, in the midst of another type of beauty
